About Us
We are a sixth generation farm that was homesteaded in 1886. Mindy’s great great great grandpa Edwin Weary started a sheep and cattle ranch as well as raising alfalfa and oats to feed the cattle and horses. Crops diversified through the years and in 2003 started to transition to organic farming.

Windy Hills Farm was officially established in 2022. We primarily focus on pastured poultry farming where we raise organic meat chickens and eggs in addition to growing Microgreens. We use a regenerative agriculture model and partner with Walla Walla Organics who uses our chickens for planned grazing to fertilize and enrich the soil to produce healthy crops. We are dedicated to ensuring we provide safe and healthy food to our community.
Practices
We are passionate about being good stewards of the land which gives us so much. Regenerative agriculture is the practice of just that; giving back to the land in that which we take. We believe the best practices are those that do not deplete the soil, but enrich it. We believe in leaving a positive impact for future generations. We thrive to instill our children with the importance of this responsibility. True animal husbandry is the symbiotic relationship between the farmer/rancher and the animal, providing them with the most natural environment for them to act as they should; getting fresh air, grass, bugs, sunshine and exercise daily to be the happiest, healthiest animals they can be. Just as we give back to the land, we also want to give back to our community and provide them with healthy, sustainable food. Knowing your farmer and where your food comes from is important. Being transparent about how we raise your food is our priority!
