About Us
Danielle and Salvador own and operate a 12 acre farm in Dayton, Washington. After a Big Apple career of rooftop farming, beekeeping, and ecological horticulture in NYC, Danielle craved wide open spaces and an opportunity to develop her own apiary and meadowland. Sal, having grown up in the Central Valley of California amongst the almond and avocado orchards, saw viticulture as an opportunity to marry his love of wine and agriculture. Agricola Osa Mayor is a love letter to the Touchet River Valley, where we are honoring an ecosystem that supports our hives, future vines, and community.
Practices
Our hives are situated along the Touchet River, where they forage on native habitat, adjacent meadows, and neighboring fields. We do not offer remote pollination services, so the honey harvested from our hives is the product of nectar sourced within three miles from our farm. Hyper local and seasonal harvests to express a true taste of the place. We use integrated pest management for hive health, using only organic chemical treatments when necessary to maintain strong and resilient bee populations. Our 100% raw honey is never heated, blended, or filtered beyond a small micron filter to remove large particles.

Future projects will include introducing native meadowland and regenerative viticulture practices, incorporating flowering cover crops to provide forage for the bees and improve soil health among the vines. Prior to our ownership, our acreage was grazed by sheep and goats, never sprayed, and practicing organic.
